Choosing Hillside Excavating comes with several advantages. First, we know the unique qualities of the land and climate in this area. We’ll take care of your needs without causing damage to the environment around the site. We are well-experienced—doing business in Livermore, Maine for over 15 years. We also own all of our equipment and have contacts with other pros to handle any part of the overall job that might come up.
Make the area as accessible as you can and—as much as possible—move any obstacles in the way. For things you are not able to move, let our crews know ahead of time so they can be prepared.
We own all of the equipment that our employees use. If work from another vendor is required (a plumber, for example), we will handle the leg work and use a coordinated effort to get the job done so you don’t have to worry about finding and calling more contractors.
What other services besides excavating do you offer?
We offer a host of other services, including the following: repair drainage issues, install and repair driveways, install septic systems along with water and sewer lines, create house lots, and do commercial snowplowing for area businesses.

The septic tank itself is just one part of the overall system. The tank collects solids and liquids that are flushed or sent down the drains in the home. The tank separates the solids and liquids, with the liquid traveling into the drain (or leach) field that we create through a series of pipes in the earth. The solids degrade with the help of bacteria in the tank that is used to maintain the system.
We can build and pave small access roads that can connect to an existing road. We are unable to create larger or multiple-lane roads.
